Canary Islands Karting Championship
Gran Carting Lanzarote are proud to once again be the host track for this years Karting Campeonato de Canarias ( Canary Islands Karting Championship ). On the 13th and 14th of April pilots from all over the Canary Islands will be battling it out right here in Puerto del Carmen to see who will be taking the points home. As with Formula 1 the racers are competing throughout the season for points that will ultimately go towards deciding who is going to be champion.
Take your seats for an exciting battle between the best Karts and Racers in the Canary Islands, if your a fan of motor sport then dont miss this opportunity to watch pros in action. Motor Sports are taken very seriously here on the Islands, there has been a long love affair with the sport since the 1950's the year the first ever Rally was run, held in Gran Canaria on the 2nd of May 1954 and organised by the local Automobile Club
The Inter- island Automobile Federation of Las Palmas is responsible for motorsport in the province of Las Palmas, which includes the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. It has its own Assembly and Government Board chaired by Mr. Miguel Ángel Toledo Rodríguez .FALP organizes the championships of asphalt rallies, dirt rallies, mountain climbs, slaloms on the ground, extreme 4 × 4, mountain promotion trophies, rallies, slaloms. and of course Karting, and along with the FCA the Federación Canaria de Automovilismo they are responsible for everything Motor Sport on the islands.
On the 13th and 14th of April 2019 they will be overseeing the Karting Campeonato de Canarias ( Canary Islands Karting Championship ), if you come along to watch or even to have a go around the track yourself that day then you will be able to see some real pros at work. The competitors will be going all out to make sure they have every chance to be on the podium, everyone involved will be giving 100%, be it the pit teams or the drivers, its all hands on deck for a pivotal stage in the Championships. Here at Gran Carting we have the largest track in the Canary Islands so our stage is the one the competitors all look forward to the most so expect to see some amaizing racing.
Everyone is welcome to come a watch, and in-between races there will be a chance for the public to use the track as normal too. Its going to be a great weekend and one not to miss if your a Motor Sport fan.
